Cutting corners and cheating for quick gain results in advantage that doesn’t last. Living to please God looks like a disadvantage that keeps you from getting what you want and it makes life harder, but the results last forever. Temporary gain or eternal gain? Which do you want?

You feel like a hypocrite asking God for help when you’ve sinned greatly. But there is no other saviour who can help you. You continue with God like you started and He will help you.

Lovingkindness and truth will prevail because they come from God, and God never fails.

Think about this: There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. If the way you’re on isn’t God’s way it has to end in death.

Have you heard the Chinese proverb? “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach him how to fish, you feed him for the rest of his life.”

I’d like to teach you how to feed your soul for the rest of your life.

When you engage with God’s word you engage with God, and He gives you what you need through His word.

You need endurance. Where do you get it? By depending on what God is already giving.
